Steps of a Commission

ROUGH DRAFT

This process is mainly the brainstorming phase where I develop several concept thumbnails detailing the overall layout of the commission. While the commission is in the sketch phase you can make no more than 4 stages of revisions needed. Once this detailed sketch is approved, no changes can be made without an additional charge.

Line work

The pens are out! This is where the final line work for the commission will be done. Once this phase is completed, any further revisions will cost extra.

Coloring

This process composes the selections of all the base colors and for the design, including the backgrounds.

Final Rendering

The most exciting phase! It consists of detailing every aspect of the commission between the shadows, highlights, glows, and special FX that will make the image really POP when it’s completed!

COMMISSION GUIDELINES

  • NO nudity or sexual requests please.
  • I reserve the right to display commissioned works in my portfolio.
  • I reserve the right to reject any commissions that they do not follow my guidelines.
  • It is not guaranteed an active commission until 50% initial payments have been fully made within the Net 30 deadline of invoice.

Payment Information

  • Currency for commissions will be in USD. Once I review the commission you’ve submitted, I will send you an invoice drafting specific details of the commission along with the total price via email. All payments must be made upfront; otherwise, commissions will not be completed until then. If you choose to pay partially in the beginning of the commission process, 50% of the full amount of your commission is due upfront before getting started and it’s NON-REFUNDABLE.

Delivery + Handling

For non-shipping customers, you will receive a .ZIP file of your commission via contact email. Commissions may take up to 1-2 weeks minimum (depending on my work schedule), but I will always communicate with the client and complete your commission ON DEMAND! I will keep you informed about delays or updates on my work in progress with your commission. As for shipping customers, once informed via email with a tracking number the shipping of the commissions should take about 3 – 5 business days. I ship the original artwork or fully colored print(s) sandwiched between a protective sheet of cardboard to prevent the artwork from bending or creasing during the shipping process. Upon receiving an invoice from Art of TDJ, the initial (50%) deposit is due upfront in the Net 30 schedule, and it is NON-refundable.
